Triz Training for Engineers and Designers

Triz Event - 18th September 2007 @ the University of Sussex

Exploring the use of the Theory Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ)

Creative thinking is fine, but what if you come up with the wrong ideas?

TRIZ is a powerful toolkit for developing and analyzing ideas. TRIZ for engineers will explore how to Optimise Resources, using Function Analysis, Resource Analysis, Ideality review, Contradictions and Trends of Evolution of Design.

With plenty of stories of design which illustrate TRIZ thinking, the day will be informative, fun and a first step into the world of creative/analytical thinking using TRIZ.

Stories include:

1. Why is it so difficult to turn the lock on your front door?

2. The easy way to clear out rubbish

3. Why men break chairs

4. Why you should get rid of your boss

5. Why virgin wins the day
