Artplay would provide weekly informal ‘playtime’ sessions that invite students to experiment with the space and its technologies, as well as fabricate projects and works. Participants would be invited to exhibit their works/ideas/findings in a culminating monthly informal showcase event, encouraging visitors to observe the creative products of the preceding month and prompting discussion as to possible future ideas and projects. Societies, local artists and creative practitioners would be invited to lead a playtime session that engages with the space and the students, inspiring students to develop their contributions to the showcase. 

Aims & Outcomes:
Like Hobnob, Artplay would share the same outcomes: Increased networking between students from different disciplines and universities, and therefore access to collaborative project work or project showcasing. Increased employability through wider access to different people and skills. Increased dynamism and vitality surrounding extra-curricular participation at Sussex. A social atmosphere in which to celebrate and raise awareness of achievements and ongoing networking and collaboration. An increase in students making use of the Sussex Plus scheme.
