This 2nd Design Master class is all about Colour, Texture & Finish. Exploring the social, cultural & environmental issues that face modern designers, it will be a fully interactive session, providing direct access to a practicing designer. After observing Teresa Collins at work, you will have the opportunity to develop your own designs and hear her professional feedback.Grounded in a Bahaus approach to creative thinking, the Colour, Texture & Finish masterclass will explore the language of colour, facilitating personal design & development.
Although places are limited, the event is FREE. All you will need are 5 examples, either images or objects, of design references that inspire your use of colour. 'NO DESIGN ICONS' Please.
Teresa Collins is a colour specialist working in industry & the commercial environment, regularly working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, with architects, artists, interior designers, design consultants, sales & marketing. Her colour specialisation is in forecasting key interior, fashion and textile trends. Her background includes a wealth of knowledge of both contemporary & historic interiors, fashion & textiles. Her varied experience ranges from designing colour palettes for retail paint ranges for B&Q, to public collaborative art installations for a hospital corridor, as part of 'Enhancing the Healing Environment '. Teresa is the Co-director of Little & Collins who produce & design limited edition collections of handmade rugs & are a specialist textile design consultancy for furnishings and floorings.
